STAFF from Coventry Building Society have completed a mammoth bike ride from London to Paris to mark the centenary of World War One.

The 27 cyclists from the Stratford branch completed the 280 mile bike ride in four days, raising hundreds of pounds for the Royal British Legion.

The building society has donated more than £10 million to the charity since 2008.

Director of fund-raising Charles Byrne said: “These funds help us to continue providing vital support to serving individuals, those who are moving or have moved back to civilian life and their families too.

“We are committed to support wounded or sick service people and also focus on giving dementia patients a better quality of life while providing practical support and advice for carers and families.”
