The Shakespeare Hospice plants happy memories

Stratford Editorial 4th Aug, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

HAPPY memories can be planted in the Shakespeare Hospice’s Sunflower Meadow.

People are invited to dedicate a sunflower to their loved ones in exchange for a donation to the Shottery-based hospice.

Those who dedicate a flower will also be able to attend a remembrance service at 2pm on Saturday August 20 where they can take their sunflower and a packet of seeds home to plant in their own garden.

Barbara Wood, a bereaved carer who now volunteers at the hospice, said “Sunflowers always make me think of happy times. They are flowers that are always looking up, looking forward to the future.”
