Shakespeare Duck Race preparing to make a splash

Stratford Editorial 8th Aug, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

BILL, Stratford Rotary’s duck race mascot, recently dropped in at the Shakespeare Hospice Book Shop.

As well as a little light reading, Bill was also busy with the important business of selling tickets for the first Shakespeare Duck Race taking place at Lucy’s Mill Weir on August 27.

Tickets are now on sale at all Shakespeare Hospice shops in Stratford, Alcester, Henley in Arden and Wellesbourne. They can also be bought online at: http://campaign.justgiving.com/charity/stratford-rotary/shakespeareduckrace.

All proceeds go to the Shakespeare Hospice’s new Children and Young People’s Service and first prize is £150 cash, along with other prizes.

The race – which takes place opposite Holy Trinity Church, on the Recreation Ground side of the river – is being organised by Stratford Rotary’s newly formed satellite evening group and is being sponsored by Care UK.
