SCHOOLCHILDREN have been mucking in and sowing seeds of support for Heart of England Forest.
Quinton Primary and Bidford Primary Schools visited the forest to plant oak trees and explore the woodland.
The planting helped with the charity’s overall aim of planting 13 million new trees across 30,000 acres of land from the Forest of Arden to Evesham.
Forest event manager Toby Fisher said: “It is wonderful to see children get educated and involved with the great outdoors.
“Many of the pupils promised they would return soon with their family to show off their handiwork, and some even spoke of their excitement at being able to watch their saplings and see how they grow in the next 20 years.”
