THE ROTARY Club of Stratford is on the hunt for new members.

The club’s Satellite evening group is preparing to stage a charity duck race later this year and the group is looking for more people to get involved.

In what would be a first for the club, it is hoping to organise the event for the Saturday before the August Bank Holiday.

The Shakespeare Duck Race would be launched from Lucy’s Mill Bridge with all proceeds going to a host of charities across the district.

Enthusiastic men and woman of all ages are needed to help the group with fund-raising tasks and organising the event.

The rotary club, which has raised more than £250,000 for charity over the past five years, will have a stand at Sunday’s Shakespeare Marathon.

Anyone who want to find out more is asked to either email email [email protected] or speak with representatives on the day.

The evening group meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at the Falcon in Stratford.
