OFFICERS have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Studley.

Police say a man forced entry to a property on Pratts Lane in Mappleborough Green just before 3pm on Wednesday February 3.

He fled when he was disturbed by the victim – a woman in her 40s – and got into a vehicle which drove off in an unknown direction.

The man is believed to be around 5ft 7in, of stocky build with a pale complexion, a round face and no facial hair.

At the time of the incident he was thought to be wearing a navy blue hooded jacket and navy blue jeans.

He had a baseball cap with stars on it and a yellow peak under his hood.

Investigating officer Paul Gaston said: “We have released this image in the hope it will help jog the memory of anybody who may have seen him on the night in question.

“I would encourage anybody who recognises this man to get in touch. Any information, no matter inconsequential you may think it, could help with our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
