SUMO suits will be out in force next week as young old look to have some fun in the sun.

As part of National Play Day, Stratford District Council will be holding a free event from at the Stratford Rec on Wednesday (August 5).

Featuring a climbing wall for the more adventurous, circus skills for those with a hidden talent, a half pipe for the skaters, and a large bouncy castle, there will be something for everyone.

Coun Mike Brain said: “Calling all young people across Stratford district – come along, join in and have some fun! Bring your parents and bring a picnic so you can stay and enjoy the whole day.”

The event – part of a national celebration, which aims to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives – is set to run from 10am to 4pm at the Bandstand.
