THERE is a mystery waiting to be uncovered at the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Museum (Royal Warwickshire).

Bosses at the Warwick museum remain tight-lipped about their latest exhibit which will be unveiled for all to see on Saturday (January 16).

Curatorial officer Stephanie Bennett, told The Observer: “I’m excited about this new addition to the collection, and I wanted to give people in Warwickshire the chance to look at it first, a kind of their own private viewing, before it officially goes on display in the museum.”

Donated by a generous patron, the mystery exhibit will be on show on the first floor of St John’s House – but only until Saturday February 6.

The museum receives up to about 50 new donations every year. Most of these are personal documents, photos or medals relating to people – often soldiers who served in the county infantry regiment during the First World War.

Visit warwickfusiliers.co.uk for further details about the museum, including opening times. Entry is free.
