MOTORISTS are being advised to plan their journey as roadworks take place on the M40.

Junction 12 at Gaydon will be fully closed from 8pm on Friday (June 24) to Monday (June 27) to enable road widening and resurfacing work.

Work will also be taking place on both the northbound and southbound entry and exit slip roads.

Highways England project manager, Shah Hussain said: “We’re working over the weekend to minimise disruption to motorists and to make sure that we can use the closure to make good progress on the work.

A diversion route will be signposted for the duration of the works.
