IT was olé and away as staff at Morrisons Stratford jumped in the saddle to cycle around the world in 48 hours.
The Spanish-costumed team team joined up with 100 other regional branches to complete the equivalent of 25,000 miles around the globe in aid of Sue Ryder – a charity, which helps people suffering from life-threatening illness.
The total donation reached nearly £227,000 and will be used to launch an online support service for the region.
Sue Ryder spokeswoman Samantha Steadman said: “We are very grateful for the support of Morrisons colleagues and customers.
“The money raised will support vital Sue Ryder healthcare services which will make a huge difference to thousands of families at the most difficult time of their lives.”
