Loxley residents asked to shape future of village

Stratford Editorial 8th Mar, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

PEOPLE in Loxley are being given the chance to have a say in how their village develops over the coming years.

Loxley Parish Council submitted an application in February for the designation of a ‘neighbourhood area’ – the first step in securing its own Neighbourhood Plan.

And the plan was recently accepted by Stratford District Council meaning the village how designated as a Neighbourhood Planning Area.

The parish joins several villages that have set up neighbourhood forums giving the community the chance to shape the development of their area.

The confirmed designation follows a community meeting at which residents highlighted improvements they would like to see in the village and concerns they have over its future including potential development of Wellesbourne Airfield.

Volunteers coordinating the plan will now move it to the next stage where residents will have the opportunity to air their views through a questionnaire.
