YOUNG William Shakespeare will be brought to life in lights over the next few weeks.
The new festive lightshow beamed onto the walls of Shakespeare’s Birthplace will depict the young bard’s childhood at his Henley Street home.
And audiences will be able to join in by choosing parts of the Birthplace to explore and open up like a dolls house.
The Birthplace gardens will also feature illuminated scenes based on Shakespeare’s works.
Visitors will be invited to share their first memories of Shakespeare by recording their thoughts in a special digital memory box.
These memories will be presented at a special community event on Henley Street on January 2 – marking the start of the 400th anniversary celebrations of Shakespeare’s legacy.
The lighshow can be seen every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening from Thursday (November 26) to December 19.
