YOU’RE the one that they want for the latest event in aid of Stratford Hospital’s £1million appeal.
Hospital chiefs are looking to create a new cancer and state-of-the-art eye treatment centre at the existing site on Arden Street by early next year.
Around £732,000 has already been raised and it is hoped the money will help fund everything from specialist chemotherapy chairs to iPads that do not come as standard in the new £22million hospital.
But in a bid to give the appeal total a further boost, 70s classic Grease will be screened during a special film night at The Riverside in Tiddington Road on Thursday July 21.
And fund-raisers are urging Pink Ladies to come along from 7pm where they can sing along to everything from Summer Nights to Greased Lightnin’.
Tickets – priced at £15 to include dinner and a glass of pimms – can be bought in advance but are not available on the door.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the £1million appeal.
