FAMILIES are being urged to get into the groove and raise money for two local causes supporting those with learning disabilities.
A Family Fun Disco is being held at Shottery Memorial Hall on Saturday June 4 to raise funds for Heart of England Mencap and the Welcombe Hills School.
It is organised by The Friends of Heart of England Mencap, which was formed at the start of 2014, and is chaired by Stratford mum Karen Rousell, whose daughter Lottie was born with learning disabilities.
Karen said: “Our group is all about putting the fun back into fundraising.
“We want families to come along for a really good time, raising money and awareness along the way to support two local causes doing such important work to improve the lives of those with learning disabilities.”
Organised by the Friends of Heart of England Mencap – the disco runs from 7pm to 9.30pm.
Tickets cost £5 – with carers going free.
