Fun day helps raise almost £2,000 for baby charity

SPONGES, stocks and sunshine were on offer in equal measure at the One Stop’s fun day.

The Drayton Avenue store held the event recently to raise money for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, which provides care and support for babies with life-limiting illnesses.

One Stop Area Manager Lisa Harrison and town councillor Chris Wall got into the spirit of things by stepping up to the stocks for a super soaking.

And with a tombola, raffle, cupcakes, and plenty of good weather, there was something for everyone.

The event raised £1,720.
