TWO men were badly injured after being thrown from a van which crashed on the Fosse Way between Ettington and Wellesbourne.

The van was involved in a smash with a car on the A429 on Monday evening (August 11) around 8.15pm.

The van driver, a man in his thirties, received serious leg and pelvic injuries and was anesthetised before being taken to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, while his passenger, a man also in his 30s, received head, back and abdominal injuries, and was taken to the same hospital.

The car driver, a woman in her 30w, and two children travelling with her, were treated for minor injuries at the scene before being taken to the same hospital for further checks.

Four ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.
