THE FAMILY have paid tribute to a moped rider killed in a crash near Alcester.

Emma Flatley was riding on the A46 towards Bidford when she was involved in a crash with a car shortly before 5pm on Wednesday October 28.

The 21 year-old from Redditch suffered multiple injuries and she went into cardiac arrest at the scene. Ambulance crews were unable to resuscitate her.

Emma worked as a youth leader and teaching assistant for students with learning difficulties.

Her family said: “Emma was a warm, vibrant, fun loving young woman. She was passionate and caring, and like a ray of sunshine lit up everywhere she went.

“She was on her way to the job she loved when she lost her life. She was much loved by family, friends and the local communities which she served.  She will be sorely missed.”

A 23-year-old man from Evesham has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle with a controlled drug above the specified limit. He has been bailed until December 4.
