A RAINBOW of colour covered Meon Vale Leisure Centre at the weekend.

The Shakespeare Hospice held their annual Colour Blast event in Lower Quinton on Sunday (September 27) to raise money for the Children’s Bereavement Group.

Some £10,000 was raised by 600 people running, skipping and walking 5 kilometers while having coloured powder thrown over them.

Lily Sutton, event fund-raiser said: “I am thrilled with the fantastic number of people who came along to support The Shakespeare Hospice and have some colour fun!

“We had a brilliant day and loved seeing 600 human rainbows at the finish and the rainbow dog! Thank you so much to everyone who took part or volunteered their time.”

The Children’s Bereavement Group allows children to have time in a space where they can share their feelings and emotions.
