CHARITABLE pupils at Stratford Girls Grammar swapped their uniforms for a slightly different look this week.

Girls at the Shottery Road school dressed in pink yesterday (Wednesday) to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign’s Wear it Pink initiative.

As well as raising money through their non-uniform day, sixth formers and members of staff also raised a cup or two with their pink-themed coffee mornings featuring cakes of all shapes and sizes.

The day’s activities raised £775 for the charity, which brings provides information and support for those with breast cancer.

Headteacher Kate Barnett said: “Staff and pupils were very pleased to support the campaign. The fight against breast cancer is a particularly significant cause in a largely female environment and is therefore very close to our hearts.”
